Cool The Painful Zoster Blisters With Ice :
Ice packs and ice cold water is a great reliever from the stinging pain caused by the rashes, and the blisters. This remedy should be used on the affected area even before the rashes out break. Use it as soon as the tingling sensation is experienced.
Wrap an ice pack in a cotton cloth and place it on the affected area for not more than 20 minutes an hour. Or wrap a fine cotton cloth on the affected area and very gently pour ice cold water on it for 20 minutes. Repeat one of the two ways until the tingling pain reduces.

Cure Shingles With Black Tea Bags:
The high contents of tannins in tea leaves have attributes that are known to be anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory. This is one of the simplest and easiest remedies to treat herpes zoster. It is always advisable to use the tea bags before the actual outburst of the blisters.
Boil the black tea bag and use it warm or cold on the localized area for 5 minutes. Repeating the process twice or thrice a day is helpful. If you do not use tea bags then boil some dried tea leaves and strain it. Apply the leaves for relief.

Honey To Heal Herpes:
Honey is anti-microbial, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial, and is an effective cure for herpes. It restricts the growth of the virus, and aids in fast recovery.
Apply honey topically on the infected area several times a day.

Baking Soda For Zoster Treatment:
Baking soda dries off the sores by absorbing the moisture from the sores, and provides good relief from the painful blisters.
You can directly apply it to the infected parts, but it is better to consult a doctor before doing so.

Cornstarch Cure Herpes Zoster:
Cornstarch also dries off the sores by absorbing the moisture and relieves the painful feeling.
Dust it topically on the blisters and leave it for few minutes.

Aloe Vera Alleviates The Rashes:
Aloe vera has many medicinal properties and is well known to soothe the itching, redness, tenderness, and irritation of the skin. It is particularly good in healing the rough outer surface of the scabs.
Apply pure aloe vera gel on the problem area directly. Do not use aloe vera based chemical or other products.

Epsoms Salt Solution:
Epsom salt is a good option to treat the painful itchiness associated with the disease. It also cleanses, soothes, and dries the the red itchy bumps.
Add a handful of Epsom salt to your bath water, and soak in it or bathe with it for 10-20 minutes.

Essential Oils To Ease The Pain:
There are many essential oils that can reduce the pain, inflammation, redness, and itchy feeling caused by the virus. Also, there are other oils that help repair, and restore the normal skin.
Apply rose oil, vitamin E oil, jojoba oil and other appropriate oils to heal the symptoms.

These simple treatment for shingles at home may help prevent and cure the disease but it is always better to see a doctor if the symptoms persist for more than 2 days.
